Chilled
Fresh products are those that do not get to freeze and are kept at positive temperatures, in order to conserve absolutely all their organoleptic characteristics and all their nutrients. They are products of high quality, which must be kept at a very specific temperature, depending on each product, so that they do not fail before their time, but retain all their initial characteristics.
Alimentbarna offers different types of packaging for the correct preservation of our chickens and fresh birds. Each container will determine a useful life other than the product. The calculation of this useful life is empirical and objective, and is based on studies of duration of each one of the products, made by our laboratory of analysis
The product can go in a cardboard box, or in large polyblocks. This type of container is ideal for factories or products of great consumption, since for its use the entire block must be defrosted.
Or Modified Atmosphere, it is a sealed container that replaces the atmospheric air inside the tray with a mixture of gases, different for each type of product, which allows the preservation of the food and its characteristics for as long as possible.
It is a technique that consists of absorbing all the air inside the tray, so the product is totally protected from environmental oxygen, and does not allow the development of most microorganisms, which multiply with oxygen and are the ones that spoil food.
Frozen
The frozen products are those that, in a few hours, go to a temperature between -18ºC and -25ºC. This process allows a long conservation of the product without the need to use additives. In poultry, a frozen product can last between 12 and 24 months, depending on the type of product and the cold power that is maintained.
This preservation process does not alter most of the characteristics of the product, and thus allows it to maintain its original color, texture and aroma.
Individual Quick Freezing or individualized fast freezing. This process is characterized by the speed at which we lower the temperature of the product.
This method has two great advantages:
The product can go in a cardboard box, or in large polyblocks. This type of container is ideal for factories or products of great consumption, since for its use the entire block must be defrosted.
It is based on freezing the product, separating it by layers of plastic inside the cardboard box.
